Apparently Mad Max isn't happy about how FOTA has been relaying their victory to the world and now Max says he may not step down afterall and the breakaway series might be on again, barely 24 hours after it was averted. If you ask me, this is the FIA getting what they deserve for keeping him as president after his Nazi-hooker scandal. They must act now to remove him before he ruins the sport for good. en.f1-live.com/f1/en/headlines/news/detail/090626093419.shtml

I'm surprised about all the Mosley fuss. All along, I believed Bernie was the real problem.

Bernie and Max were each half the problem. Max through his authoritative and arbitrary rules packages that didn't consult the manufacturers, and Bernie through his outrageous sanctioning fees, money grubbing, and abandoning markets that the teams want to be in (ie, North America). Supposedly FOTA got everything they wanted from both of them and now Max is unhappy about it.

I say go ahead and split off, the hell with The Bernie and Max Show! Form a new series, lower the fees and bring F1 racing back to the tracks it belongs at. The only problems with a FOTA run series is that it will have all the techno crap that runed F1 racing in the first place. Roll the rules back to, say, 1990 and lets go racing.
And if the FIA thinks that FOTA will stand for that frog Todt being FIA president, they need to pull their heads outta the sand.

I agree that Bernie and Max are each 1/2 of the problem. The FIA needs to find someone with some common sense who can work with the team owners. The team owners should dump Bernie. I can't think that having the team owners run the series is a good idea. We have all seen what happens when the inmates are running the institution.
