I haven’t been able to stick with any of my builds for whatever reason since I finished my McLaren MP4/2C chassis, but I have been having fun doing some problem solving on some of my builds Like the McLaren M-16 and the last couple of weeks I’ve spent some time with my McLaren 1/20 scale McLaren M8D. Now my focus has switched to a Revell Reynard build. An area that I’ve struggled coming up with a satisfying solution for is the snorkel found on some of the 2000 era cars. I stumbled on to a Reynard on my last trip to Seattle so I’ve finally gotten some good reference photos. I’ve had a number of thoughts as to go about creating one of these using the base of the one that comes in the kit, but the light has not come on in my little brain telling me that I’ve come up with the solution. Have any of you Reynard builders had to create one of these? I’ve paged through some of the Reynard builds on this forum, but if anyone created on I missed it. In a perfect world someone like Indycals would have created one of these on Shapeways……… As always, I appreciate any and all feedback. Paul Erlendson

If I was doing it and since Calvin doesn't really think too much, I'd painstakingly sculpt one out of putty and then make a mold and cast them..
Btw I almost have your two other projects done, Paul.

I don't believe i have seen any one recreate these. It would be a cool addition though. Calvin is right i think. You will probably have to make your own. But it would be worth it as its uncommon.

This one is on my list. I bought a 1:1 and just have to figure out the best way to measure it. I was looking at it this weekend but spend all day Saturday at work - an awful way to spend the day with the family out of town.

I've had a Penske Renard on hold for that reason. Well, that and I'm a procrastinator. I recently was thinking perhaps one of Kevin's brake scoops could be converted, though I haven't actually pulled them out and checked. Again, that procrastination thing. they may be completely wrong, but it's a thought. MJ
