Wow. That is a beauty. Puts mine to shame. Yeah, we do need to get him over here.

No insult intended to anyone already here, but I'm not sure what we have to offer someone like that. I know we would all benefit from him, but how many times does he need to hear "WOW, that's impressive". I for one, don't have a machine shop at my disposal so a lot of his techniques are out of my reach. Sure is nice to look at, tho! Hope this doesn't sound too negative, not my intention at all, I would welcome him or anyone here.
P.S. - Jordan, please check your PM's - Brian

Oh, I don't know. One of the best lessons my dad ever taught me is there isn't a person out there you can't learn something from. Now, my dad's a pretty smart guy, the first in his family to graduate college, went on to get his MBA and got pretty high up in the financial department at GM. But now that he's retired, he's learned more about fishing in Florida from a guy who dropped out of school at age 15 than anyone has a right to know. ;D

I agree, Macsparty. My reply was intended to be more or less tongue-in-cheek! I am always amazed by the work of guys like that, but you're right, while they're machining away on those little metal parts, I might be able to surprise them with some of my "around-the-house" ideas, like using my cat's shed whiskers for antennas on my F-1 builds - LOL!

;D See there you go! I learned that trick about the cat whiskers at a show a couple years ago when a guy did that for an antenna on a PT-109! I love stuff like that.

Herk, I haven't forgotten about you and you will get some more info from me this weekend. Working 12 hour days lately As far as inviting those with elite skills - this is certainly a good place. If you read his build, as I did, you will notice that he was missing references on the front radiator and having a board like this one with members of great knowledge of open wheel race cars plus contacts with great knowledge are a huge asset for any builder.
