Chaps
Lucky me.
The Mosport IMSA race and the Toronto Indy are a week apart this year. Right in the middle of my three week summer annual leave.
I am going. Done IMSA at Daytona but not done an Indycar race since Brands Hatch in 2003. The education continues.....
I can tell you I am right made up over this.
If anyone has some advice on attending the Toronto Indy I would appreciate it.
Got the Grandstand and Paddock passes sorted but did wonder if a Pitlane pass was a must.
Either way packed the camera already......

I get the Super Photo Pass for Long Beach which has paddock and pit access and find I spend very little time on pit road mostly due to the fact that it's REALLY cramped.

I can speak for Indy & St Pete & Mid Ohio. Always worth a bit extra. Exposure to the team s & cars is worth it to me. Enjoy the race!

Blimey!
Thanks chaps.
Mosport was blinding. Brilliant old track with climbs and drops that make Brands Hatch look like a flat chest.
Day one at Exhibition Place. First ever 'Street' race for me. Sitting right over the pits so I may not other with the pass in the end but what a thrill. A few feet away as they come off the last corner. Mad! You can see them working away and see when they have it right. And wrong. I know it's all old hat to you chaos but WOW! Can't stop grinning. And two more days of it to come. Indoor Paddock is a bit dark for detail shots of the cars so catch em as they are wheeled outside. And everyone is so nice...
Loving it.

Three days of that was great.
Loved it but not immune to seeing how certain aspects of the fans experience here in Toronto could be improved. Mates here told me that certain trackside areas were now closed off to the public which is a shame. But as a spectacle from my seat over the pits it was great.
You chaps would all have your favourite circuits to visit for your own reasons but I have an idea of where else to visit one day with Indy top of the list. Road America, mid Ohio, laguna seca and maybe one other oval.
Modslling project to come out of this? The Rosenquist machine. Really intricate livery with the blend from blue to black and the networked globe motif across it. Damn sexy and nightmarish paint/decaljob to finish but so sexy I thought.
Oh. And if anyone does like the Imsa stuff then Mosport is so worth a visit....
