Greetings to all: My name is Tim Jones and I live east of Houston near the Louisiana border. Married 33 years with 2 grown sons. I began modeling Indy cars when the AMT '63 Lotus and "Old Calhoun" came out. Listened to my first 500 on the radio in '65 when Clark won. Saw the '66 race on closed circuit TV. Made the first Indycar race at Texas Motor Speedway in '97 and saw A.J. shove Luyendyck out of Victory Lane because Billy Boat was declared the winner that night; but Arie was shown winning the next morning. Finally made my first 500 this year when my sons gave us the trip as a Christmas gift. I also model F1 cars(50's - 80's), sports cars, and an occasional NASCAR (before 1980). This site has some great pictures and tips. I know several "tricks of the trade" but still learn new things all the time. I hope I can help out some of you with reference material as I have several old racing books and many old magazines. I noticed there was some discussion recently about Vintage Motorsports magazine and I have several of their back issues, also. I look forward to enjoying this with you...

Hi Tim. I always tell friends about AJ giving Arie a piece after that race. One of my favorite memories.
