It is in the high 90s here most days in Texas and the home AC just decided to stop working so the Mrs and I spent the evening out at places air conditioned ;D At Barnes & Noble I got a few modeling mags and a vintage racing mag. The June Scale Auto has pics from an Indianapolis contest that has two of the Tamiya Lola IndyCars. Both were very nicely done - one was Scott Brayton's Amway car (maybe Indycals?) and the other was a Bobby Rahal car with a scratch built Chevy.... sadly he did the valve covers off of the Chevy/A which Bobby ran up to '92 and the Chevy/C that ran in '93 looked a lot different externally. Not to come off a "rivet counter" though - I thought it was an excellent model and I always love to see IndyCars in national modeling magazines. I wish we could get both builders on this forum ;D Next was Vintage Motorsports which caught my eye with a Watson roadster on the cover. It was restored beautifully and I am sure many here would love a copy of this mag to see it. Not sure about the accuracy of the resto but like I said - it was purdee!! ;D What I read though was an interesting story on Carl Fisher and the start of the beloved Speedway. It was a very interesting article.... too bad B&N was closing before I finished it. Anyways, I thought I'd give you all a heads up! Jordan

So, I went back at lunch to finish my article and forgot to mention that there was another long article about the Novi - you guys who love the 50s-60s era of the Speedway would like this issue for sure! Additionally, there was another small article on the '52 Indy 500 in the back. Jordan
