Nice job, I have this kit and I need to get on it. Any insights to offer about building it?

Start when you feel you're ready. I've also had the kit for some time. Do as much test-fitting as possible before assembly. I learned quickly that it was a good idea to clear coat the decals, (had to replace a couple sponsor markings from spares, as well as free-hand some trim lines). Collect as many images as possible and decide how close to the race-day version, or restored version you want to build it. It's a very satisfying project when finished.

That is a nice looking Hawk Ford there. Good detail work in the cockpit and around the car.
