Got in from my fourth nightshift. Tired. Looking as much. Bit earlier than normal.
Package waiting for me.
Opened it. Rubbed my hands and tried the item on.
Starting looking up close at the now apparent mess I made of a build I am on at the mo.
Mrs came down into the kitchen.
Made a cup of tea.
Walked into the lounge/diner and promptly screamed. Didn't drop her tea to her credit.
Mutterings of me looking like I am about to maim and dissect small defenceless animals...
Phyco killer.... Mass murderer..... Out to silence lambs......
Took a selfie.......
See what she means. Not at all flattering.
The tip is if your eyesight is like mine get some. I know many of you have them.
The other tip is, keep it in the mancave away from your loved ones, especially your children or grandchildren.
Don't care how handsome you are. It'll scar them for life.
Benefit. It'll make your studio or mancave somewhere mere mortals will fear to tread......

I have that same unit. Recommendation for anyone using this - use the head strap - the arms will create stress that will eventually create a fracture - this happened to mine, and I've seen the exact same thing happen on someone else's. I was able to fix mine with some steel wire, super glue and tape, and with the head strap the stress isn't too much for it.

Awesome description. May I suggest a painting face mask with twin filters to enhance the visual and add Darth Vader breathing. I want the ones with the scanning Cylon vision!
Who makes the particular ones you have chosen?

Mate
Cylon headset with all the trimmings? Gets me on to a base star to hang out with Caprica Six!
Anyway.
No actual manufacturer title on this head set.
Eyeglasses bracket/headband interchangeable magnifier with 2LED (upgraded version) No 9892B2.
Phew!
The five lenses click in and they swivel up and away to get you back to your regular programming without taking it off. Weighted to the front slightly but given we look down most of the time we are working it ain't too bad. I tend to use it in short bursts and remove it when not needed which might be a good idea given Indycals comments.
Always loved that scene in Toy Story 2 when the old boy cleans up Woody to display standard. Saw his magnifier set then and dunno why it took me so long......
