I really like the blue on this one.
Whose rear bumper did you use? What did you use for the flo green? Is that vinyl?

I really like the blue on this one. Whose rear bumper did you use? What did you use for the flo green? Is that vinyl? Jordan Thanks for the kind words! I totally forgot to give credit for the 3D printed wing. I used one I found on Shapeways by Cjerina. Here is a link to the one I purchased: www.shapeways.com/product/H7RCLVJG2/2012-14-sw-bumper-qty-1?optionId=41933035&li=marketplaceI've made several models using these bumpers and they are always excellent. For the fluorescent green, I tried a number of different brands but had the issue of it either being too thick and looking like it was globbed on there or being too dark when you put a solid enough coat on it to cover the white. I ended up settling for Testors Flo. Green and applying it in extremely light coats. it took like 4-5 light coats to get it to where it is but it ended up coming out better than I thought it would. I tried vinyl striping on this one, but the trim tape I used didn't seem to look right when I laid it down so I opted to go back and use paint instead. One of these days I'll get better with Vinyl but for now, it is an art that seems beyond my abilities...

Wow. I like how nicely you laid that CF decal down. I have to assume that is one of the resin kits available which I am eagerly anticipating. What do you use to clean up and fill in pinholes in the kit? I have never worked with resin so will need a lot of help when my two kits arrive this spring. I will be bugging people for a lot of advice, starting with you. lol Are the bumpers you ordered specific to this car? One of the kits I am ordering is the 2012 INDY 500 version of Stefan Wilson's car. I would like it to be as accurate as possible so am curious about what you feel is worth spending the extra money on

I just carefully masked over them so I didn’t damage them. Gotta cut some corners when you can 😉. This one is actually a diecast car that I stripped and repainted instead of a resin model. Given my tendency to mess up paint, diecast is a little more forgiving as it is easy to strip and restart if you have an mistake. The bumpers I ordered match the ones used on the superspeedways (Indy, Pocono, Texas, California, etc) between 2012 and 2015 but there are a number of other bumpers available on Shapeways for other model years. I’m not sure how well they line up with resin models but they are a perfect match for 1:18 scale Greenlight models.

Wow! Excellent job, can't say that I've ever seen this one built before. Always enjoy seeing these cars with the proper SW bumpers, it looks way better. Glad I could help, I just wish Shapeways pricing was a little more reasonable!
