I’m excited about this one! I’ve been pawing over Calvin’s kit for a couple of weeks now and I do believe it’s his best effort yet. Also, on my trip to Seattle next month for the Seattle IPMS Spring Show, we will stop off in the Portland area to go to the Museum of Speed. As part of a new Mario Andretti exhibit, I’ll get to see his 1981 Wildcat!

If it's the same Wildcat I've seen on the vintage car circuit it's highly disappointing - none of the colors are close to correct.

I’ve even noticed it in photos I’ve found online. It really is puzzling how whoever restored the car could get the shade of blue correct.. Paul Erlendson

They just used a generic blue - the real car was metallic blue - I'd use TS51. And the red is just red, not dayglo and the wheels are too gold. I truly cannot stand to look at the car as it's restored.

I moved four times in 2017. The first three were just practice, I stopped after the fourth. After one of the moves, I walked backed through, to make sure I had everything. Sitting in the middle of the floor of one of the bedrooms was this model. It was worse than in this photo. The wings, wheels and engine were off. The only thing left in the whole place, on the floor all by itself. My son is right, this car is cursed.

Michael C., I feel your pain. That's always rough. Once I had a wall shelf of Tamiya 1/12 F1 builds fall off the wall. Ouch doesn't cover it! I had to laugh twice on that page: - That Mario didn't give up the 1981 winner's ring. - When you click on the photo of Mario's Wildcat, instead of enlarging it, you get a pic of Bobby's car! Cameron
