Guys, I'm looking for a matte spray to apply over my tire markings. I tried Krylon satin and it's way to glossy. Recent revues of Krylon matte finish indicate a new formula that gives poor results. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

I pretty much stick to paints designed for our hobby like Tamiya sprays. On one of my last builds with resin tires, I used Tamiya TS 82 Rubber black, laid down the Indycals tire decals and then sealed them with TS 80 flat clear.

Agree with Paul. It's the way I do it.

John, For what it is worth and since I am probably old school and not too skilled at this, I have had good results over the years with Testors #1260 Dullcote. I spray the tires flat black, add the decals, and then spray the flat finish. It dries quickly and allows easy handling during assembly. I have not had a tire decal come off after doing this. Good luck. Jim
