Sorry about your health issues! But I agree this is great therapy! You are really tackling this well! I'm glad you are fighting back and making a positive out of your situation - I really admire that.

You are doing a great job. I am really bad at 1997 chassis details so good thing you have some great pictures to guide you.
All the best to you on your project and recovery. Keep up the good work.

I have done this car and it's no easy conversion. Looks like you are off to a great start! Look forward to seeing the transformation! Great that you are doing well after your surgeries too! It IS great therapy!

Loran, looks great and paint looks awesome but I think you will want to extend the blue on the rear of the body out a bit further. If you don't, I don't think you will have enough room to add all the decals you need too. Car looks great. Just trying to help before you apply decals and find they don't fit. Stu

A good measure would be to cut the Sprint PCS decals out as well as the large Firestone and Nortel Telecom. (Dry) Use a small piece of tape to hold them to the body. This will give you a good reference point for the blue.

Looks really, really good Loren but I have the same concerns Stu does. Hopefully this is helpful. Keep up the good work, that paint is really well done.

Hey Stu and Jordan Thank you both for your concerns and ideas. I had the same thoughts. I actually did copy and scotch tape the decals to the body when I masked it up. I was pretty confident that I had it right. But when I was done, I also thought that I should have raised the blue on the engine cover. However it is too late now as I am slow in posting the pics on here but I am now done with the decals. I am happy with the results, but that blue tape line will haunt me for years too come! As much as I am obsessed with details, I am ok with it as is. Besides, you only notice the flaws when it's sittin' by the pics of the real thing! So now I guess it is on to the details. Loran

Awesome! Very clean job you did! Plus it was a tricky masking job on the nose!
