I am not sure if I am in the *correct* section, but here goes..... (ChampCar/IRL? ??) I have the revell Visteon Reynard kit. So far I have done the basic assemblies, but have held off on anything to do with the body. I want to build JPM's Indy 500 winner (I think I have gotten myself and Jordan so confused he is dodging me! LOL!! j/k) but I have zero reference and no working printer. (buy a new printer or build models is the present option) so I need some info please. Do I need to do ANY modifications to this kit, or just build it out of the box? (maybe a reference to Indy/Jordan's post below??) What color is close/correct? I am not going to build a super detailed model, just one that is pretty correct for the car I want to do. Right color and markings and any glaring visual differences are important. In other words, if you saw it on my shelf, it would look correct. Thanks, guys Mongo AKA: Bill Little

Just to clarify, you have a kit for this: and intend to build this?

As Steve's photos point out, the only thing the two cars have in common is they have four wheels. Bill Jorgensen is casting the 2000 Gforce in resin. Unless you're really into doing MAJOR mods, get Bills kit.

Thanks, guys. Guess I will just build the Reynard. It was probably a misunderstanding with Jordan about what I could build with the kit. I am not a whole lot into the modern day stuff, which gets the majority of responses it seems, but I do want to do a JPM car. The total lack of reference I have for Indy cars post 1960s is a great hindrance, so I will probably just get to building some of the stuff I have straight out of the box and let it go at that, and devote my real time to the older subjects.
I believe the *tag* is hooked to the site's software for tracking posts. A thing I will probably shy away from now.
BTW: anyone have the slightest idea of a suggestion for the question that Indy, AKA: Jordan, AKA: admin, AKA: OWNER asked about the Target Red? I am yet to see a response there............

Looks like 'half-way' between TS 49 Bright Red and TS-8 Italian Red in person. I'd say that's about right.
