Does anyone out there have Bob Clidinsts e-mail? Perhaps he is a member of the forum? Bob belongs to my IPMS club here and I have somehow lost his e-mail. (shame on me) I'm looking for info on a car and this is the reason I joined the forum. FYI, I'm working up a scratchbuild of the "Hurst Floor Shift Special" and would love some drawings of the car. A resent photo:

I've built this one and currently have it in my showcase. Originally i started it over 25 years ago from as many photos i could collect, so it is true 'eye-ball' scale, 1/25th. The chassis was made out of PVC and the side car was a kit bashed combination of a Grant King sprint car tail and bladder turned backwards, severely sectioned and kitbashed. Front suspension was kit bashed and the rear is Lotus Ford with an AMT Offy from a Watson. Photo etched seat belts, pen springs for rear coils etc. I'll try to get some photos posted to help if i can. Oh, the nose cone is a P-51 spinner.

Sorry to jump back in, but my older son and i are trying to get more info on this car for a possible 1:1 replica to take to vintage shows. We've built numerous cars from scratch and we figure we could "simple" it up some for some reasonable fun. Biggest hang up would be the Offy, but we have a way around that too, and NOT an Alfa !!!!!!!!!!

Having access to the real thing helps and I have alot of measurments. However, a good set of plans is what I need, so hopefully Bob can help me with that.
Thanks guys.

If you've seen the pictures of the car " naked", it really wasn't a real involved design, actually it was simple. Single parallel leaf in the front w/drum brakes ! Sheesh ! fuel cell, to a radiator, next the Offy bolted to a Hewland style rear. We figured to use an automatic trans to make the shifter easier with a mini starter, small fuel cell, we don't have to run 500 miles and a few other ideas that we're still workin' on, but that's the idea anyway. Got to admit, it would draw ATTENTION !
