Outstanding work! I had to scroll through the photos a few times to make sure my eyes were not playing tricks on me.

Clear on. I used AK 2K and I'm very happy of results. Suspensions on with some issues to fit correct height. Next step exhausts.

Great build, but Jim was still racing 33's in 1965.

Yes, evidently Jaunjo hit the wrong key (5 instead of 7), but that’s the only thing I see wrong in this build...the gearbox alone is a work of art!...this car holds special memories for me...it shows up and wins it’s first race...the design was so tidy, it was set apart from it’s rivals...first to use the Cosworth Ford v8, which will power most entries until the turbos came along...Clark, Hill, Siffert, and Rindt will all drive it to wins, and Hill will take the F1 World Title with it in 1968...not the first, but the first F1 Winner in sponsor colors( red/ gold instead of British Racing Green)...first car (I think?) to sprout wings...Rindt won a GP with it in 1970, so it and it’s variations are GP winners for 4 years...one of the most significant GP cars ever built... Jaunjo: It is hard to praise your builds, because I have run out of adjectives...amazing, outstanding, work of art, awesome, ,incredible, unbelievable, Museum piece, etc...it is a pleasure to watch you work...keep posting your WIP’s; they are an inspiration!... Tim

What a beautiful 49! Today has been great with multiple finished Lotus builds posted today. The 49 is one of my favorites thanks to GPL and this is a great looking build.
Juanjo, your detail work is really top notch and a joy to see coming together. Thank you for sharing.

Stunning 49! Simply gorgeous. That side profile shot just looks so right. Excellent craftsmanship. Very well done, sir.
I was glad to find this post. I have been giving thought lately to three Lotus projects I’ve wanted to do for years, one of them a 49 from the Heller kit (the other two are a 38 and a 43, starting with the IMC kit). I was curious to see how much was needed to be done to back date the Heller 49B. Your thread is very helpful and I picked up some great tips. Thanks, and again, beautiful build.
