Hi guys!!! Really long time without posting. Life goes fast, modeling slow. As John Lennon said: "Life is what happens while you are planning some modeling" (or kinda). Well, the thing is I just dipped my toe into photo etching. First thing I thought of was (easy one) some Indycar wheel covers. I know there was something here offered here by a fellow member, so the first question is if he (hi there, schnauzer? ) still makes them and if there's still some loophole to cover. I have ordered them in shinny steel, which I think comes handy. I initially made 1/25, but surely 1/18, 1/20 and 1/43 can be done. I am open to suggestions. Besides, also something you might have thought of that was never made (regular rim centers huh?)just tell. Great to be here again, I followed you guys regularly, but little time to build, let alone post. BR James

James, it's good to see you back! I've been meaning to comment on this since I saw it last week. Besides 1/25ht scale. I really do think that 1/20th and 1/18th has been untouched. I for one would certainly welcome a selection of 1/20th scale wheel covers.

Hi Paul!! Also great to chat with ya Yes, I think the idea is good for other sizes. Also, why not, 1/43. I am drawing the stuff right now. I'll see the result (what I am getting will be probably personal use so far) and the n let's go for regular production. It'll be stainless steel, but not sure yet how much "chrome" it is till I see it live. Thanks for the answer and stay tuned. I went for those designs after a quick gooogle search. They include typical Lola, Penske, Galmer stuff plus the six holes with those closer to the center as on Emmo's '89 Indy Penske. I think I'll also include the Make's name engraved (as on lolas) later on. Suggestions are more than welcome. B to all J

Hi guys! OK, Indycar wheelcovers finally made it home. I am really happy with the result. Done in 0,008" which means 0,2mm. They are at 1/25 scale, measure 17.7 mm, so they fit the Monogram and AMT-ERTL kits of Lolas Penskes and Marches. I've done 4 models: -6 Trapezhoidal holes as used by some Lolas and Galmer -6 Holes+1, as used by Penskes -6+1 again, but with them closer to the center. Emmo's 1989 Lola had those ones. -3+1 holes, Typical on Penses I think... They'll go at 8$ with shipping included. Done in stainless steel, I'd say they offe a finish ideal to leave untouched. More of them at 1/18, 1/20 and 1/43 will follow. I think that has never been done at those scales... Thanks for looking mates J

Looks great James. You can count on an order from me when you release them in 1/20 scale.

Thanks boys! The plan was releasing some "varied scale" items before Xmas, but some delay in the first issue has slowed down the whole thing. Let's see anyway BR James

-3+1 holes, Typical on Penses I think... They'll go at 8$ with shipping included. Looks great, James, and I can definitely use a set of those 3+1's for the Sullivan PC-17 I'm in the middle of. How should we place the order with you? PM? And do you take PayPal? (I could have sworn I had posted this message last week, but now I can't find it anywhere, so forgive me if you've seen and answered this before!) Please let me know, and I'll get the order placed as soon as I can. Thanks, Cameron

James, I received the set of Penske 3+1 covers yesterday, and they look great! Now this is inspiration to get back to my build of Danny Sullivan's car. Thank you again for making these available. Cameron

Hi Cameron, that was fast! glad you liked them and yes, now is tme to go for it. What's yur opinion n the finish? I find it quite nice IMHO, not as shinny as chrome but quite good for scale. That's my opinion but I might be biased s I'd like feedback to see if next batch goes in the same finish. THX in advance! Best regards James
