I'm traveling from Denmark to San Francisco tomorrow and have arranged to go to Sonoma for the Indycar race this weekend, which will be great! But since I also follow F1 I was wondering if any TV station or network airs the Singapore Grand Prix in the US, either live or delayed? If it's live it will be in the middle of the night, I think, but I'll probably be so jetlagged anyway that it won't bother me!

In the USA the FI races are aired (badly) by ESPN and ESPN2. The Singapore GP will be broadcast live by ESPN2 on 09/15/18 at 05:55 AM Pacific Daylight Time. ESPN and ESPN2 are the premier cable TV sports networks in the USA and they should be available on any respectable hotel/motel chain's TVs. You may be able to find an F1 viewing party in the San Francisco area by asking around on internet F1 sites.

Yes, ESPN2 will carry FP3, qualifications, and the race live. If you watch F-1 in Europe and it happens to be Sky, then you'll know what to expect from ESPN2. If you are a Hamilton fan, you'll be happy. A Vettel fan, not so much. Rex

I still catch myself checking my NBCSN app on Sunday mornings to watch the race. And then I am sad.....
Sky is not a bad option considering how little ESPN wants to spend on it and them going commercial free this year has been very nice.

While I miss Hobbs and Matchett a lot, season opener aside (which was literally unwatchable), I have enjoyed the Sky feed greatly. The telecast is uninterrupted and the announcers make no effort to "dumb it down" so new viewers can catch up. If you need to be caught up, you're probably not watching.

How was your trip and visit to Sonoma? I had a great time, even though I was only there on Saturday. I was traveling for work and had to go to a meeting in downtown SF Sunday evening, so I wouldn't have been able to stay for more than the start of the race anyway. I got a chance to see Michael and his lovely wife Michelle, albeit briefly, but it was great to meet them. It was my first time at Sonoma, and I must say that the track is awesome! A shame that Indycar won't be going back there. Oh, and as for the TV feed: my motel in Vallejo had ESPN and ESPN2 - after 6PM! Doh! Bo
