Just started the Amt March 86c. This will be the A.J. Foyt car thanks to Indycals.
In doing a little research I noticed most of the teams running the March chassis had there own ideas of exhaust, intake and general shape of the rear of the engine cover. I did my best at trying to capturing the Foyt car but only found a few photos to go by.
I defined the shape of the naca duct on the engine cover and cut the missing ones in the lower side pods. For the lower ones, I first drilled a hole and started to carve the shape with a number 11 blade then applied two part gazing putty in the hole then swiped my thumb over it pulling out any excess filler. I also scribed the panel lines deeper.
I tried to order the March update set from Michael but he was out of them. So I may have to scratch build the rear suspension and modify the gearbox. Any body have any pictures of that suspension?
I also need to figure out what to do about the rear wing support. Any ideas?
