I discovered rubber paint a few days ago. It's made by Tamiya and comes in a spray can or by the bottle. Looks great and gives the tires a better look.

AK Interactice and Vellejo both make acrylic paints called "rubber" or "tire". They can be brushed on or airbrushed. I use them on all my builds that have plastic or resin tires (mostly armor kits). Both look great.

Testors used to make Rubber paint. When I used to build resin cars, thats all I used. I don't know if they still make it.
