Finally I joined the crowd and built a Maserati. This time it's Stirling's Monaco winner from 1956. It's still a work in progress, it started out as a resin body from John Warren in New Zealand. The rain deflectors were in the wrong place, and the large vents under them were missing, and naturally I had to mess around with the cockpit etc etc. Mr Moss at the seaside having fun in number 28.This is a slot car so it has a Richard Mack chassis, one of his new light weight chassis. Wheels are RS with Real Al Penrose inserts (I know they should be 3 ear knock off's, but these will have to do for a while) Note the vent under the splash guard, it's the same on the other side too. Not much room for a full driver, so a chest only Stirling from Immense Miniatures will have to do. suspension detailing has to be thought out too. After much tweeking, and a few coats of Tamiya Bright Red, it's begining to look close to the real car.Almost finished, just a few small items to be added like rear-view mirrors. And maybe some leaf springs for the rear suspention. Good shot of Marc Tylers, Immense Miniatures Stirling Moss. Great side view showing correct numbers from Michael at Indycals.

Moss had a way with selecting beautiful cars to drive. Nice job!
