Will Power 2009 Indy 500

Hey All,

Just wanted to share a quick, recent build. In honor of Power winning the 500 this year, I felt like I should throw it back to his first 500 with the Captain. Fairly simple build all in all. it helps when the base of the car is solid black. Nice and easy to hide any little "goofs" here and there.

Very nice work on this one and it is still my favorite Verizon scheme. I wished he'd have won this year with something like this black car with day glo red graphics.

Reminds me of that "Little Gator" commercial I used to like that WP did with Justin Allgaier at a diner with this car and JA's Nationwide Dodge parked out front.

I agree, always thought this was one of the sharper-looking Penske cars, which tend to be run off the same basic template and change colors based on the sponsorship for the week. It’s a shame they go that route though because the times they’ve stepped outside the box tends to lead to some beautiful designs like this and Montoya’s metallic-red Hawk car from a few years ago

Very cool car, sadly though the Indycals did not offer day-glo decals. I did this on a DP-01 chassis as if the 'merger' was the other way and a proper chassis was retained.
