I think this a great choice for Gary to kit because it is the last upright “sprint” layout car to win has a neat color scheme and has an interesting front end layout. I’ll start there.
I extended the line of the hood by 10 mm from the hood-nose joint. This locates the torsion bar/shock mount.
On the other side I had to lower the extended line because the hood joint is about 3mm higher.
The top of the mount should be flat so I can reposition the friction shock upwards to get out of the way of the torsion arm.
The torsion bars run along the body back to small brackets.
I made a bent wire clutch pedal
Also a gas pedal
