So far it's a beautiful morning. The 6am bomb shook our motorhome and woke me up - one of my favorite parts of race day - it's such a reassuring sound - the sound of race day! Race day wouldn't be the same without hearing that. Chance of scattered thundershowers, but we'll get the race in today. At breakfast this morning I saw an Indy 500 winner, an F1 World Champion, and a Daytona 500 winner.
... and they were all named Mario ;D
Here's hoping for a great race. I'll be in the Paddock Penthouse right at the start/finish line.
I can't wait to post my photos - just the pics I got on Carb day are the best shots I've ever gotten here. Can't wait to see what I get today!

How crazy is this? I'm sending this while the race is under yellow for Wilson's spin. A couple of thoughts: too many yellow flag pit stops. Just like last year, the better teams can't give their drivers an advantage. Also, there sure are a lot if empty seats. That's all for now. I'll check in after the race. Should be one more pit stop. Maybe a splash & go. Talk atcha later

Did you guys see that?!! Vitor's car was like a rollercoaster on a tight turn. Holy $&!t!! After that huge pit fire, and that crash, Id say Vitor has had a tough day.

Good time today. Hope all of you that were here had a great day. Helio drove a Rick Mears-type of race. Good for him after all he's been through. Still too many crashes, especially coming out if turn 4. Ah well, time to hit the road. I'll check back here when I get home in a few hours.

Interesting race if not a lot of passing. Got some awesome pics - can't wait to post them. Sure to be my best lot yet.
Harvey the Dog was sitting 4 rows in front of me ;D

Michael, after seeing your photos at the show, I can't wait to see your race pics.
Yeah, not a lot of passing and long runs of guys, particularly the Target guys, dominating. I'm going to watch the race (DVRed it) so I can see what happended to TK. That was a nasty crash. I also want to see if there was a common reason why there were so many crashes coming out of 4. I listen to the IMS radio broadcast during the race and the only explanation or hint that I could get was that the marbles were really bad if you got out of the groove coming out of the North Chute.

Maybe this belongs in the "WANTED" section, but does anyone have an extra ticket stub from the race? I bought two of those credential holders and since my daughter decided at the last minute not to go, I'm stuck with an extra and would like to get a stub to display in it.
