Here's some pictures of the PC-17 I showed in my intro.
As you see I cut the A-arms off and pinned them. Separated the lower tub and filled the seam. Made rear wing end plates from thin sheet plastic. Glued the kit wheel centers in place and filled three of the six holes, shot with Alclad chrome. Decals by Indycals, Tamiya Paint. Thanks for looking, Craig

Craig, Just a amazing build of the Penske PC-17 Miller car. And your paint scheme and application is just flawless. Very well done. Joel

This is absolutely gorgeous - wonderful work! You mentioned using Tamiya paint - do you recall the exact color and was it rattle can or airbrush? I'm building the same car in 1/43 and used Tamiya TS-21 Gold spray. It's far too much of a "yellow" and lustrous gold to be accurate for the MHL car in my opinion - yours is spot on, though.

I used Tamiya TS-21 decanted into my airbrush. (just sprayed into the color cup a little at a time) All I can say is that maybe you got a bad can or it wasn't shaken up thoroughly. Let me know if I can help any further.
Welcome too the board.

Craig Thanks for the input! I guess I need to experiment some more. I was trying to avoid dusting off the airbrush because I was never very good at it, but I may have to try it. It's one of those things where it's probably close enough to be left alone....but I know it's going to bother me every time I look at it Thanks again!
