I am in the process of building a couple Jack Harvey 1/18th replica's from this year's 500. A few more timely yellows and Jack may have pulled off the win! I have been commissioned to build two replica's of the car (WIP will follow soon) but in the meantime I thought I would do a Michael Shank owner figure. I found an American Diorama figure and proceeded to make a likeness to Michael Shank. I wanted the figure to be wearing a head set so I cut a groove in his head for the headphone strap. Next I cut plastic tubing and filled the tubing with JB Weld to make the ear phones. I cut pieces of plastic for his sun glasses and made a microphone out of a paper clip with JB Weld on the tip, gave him some facial stubble and made team logo shirt decals. Going to lighten his hair up a bit to a lighter color but all and all the figure turned out what I was aiming for.

Great stuff, Stu. Looking forward to the shankformation of the figure LOL
Good luck on the pink chrome. Did you get a sample of the vinyl from the team?

Recreating the paint may be a task so I may just try to wrap it. We will see. My biggest fear is the edge it will leave and whether I can wrap the roll bar without it looking bad.
