The Versus special on A.J. Foyt, Al Unser Sr. & Rick Mears was outstanding! Everything you'd want in a special before the 500 and more. I can not say enough, this was a great program!

I'd love to see the outtakes on this one! All three joked with each other and ribbed each other. I did know that all three had a part in each others career. Foyt hired Al in 1965, I knew that...I didn't know that Penske asked Unser what he thought about Mears before hiring him.....What goes around come around. I hope the repeat ti for those that missed it. If Versus Network is smart, they make a DVD of it, with out takes.

I agree....a great program. Lots of old race film.. Rick Mears has to be one of the most gracious superstar drivers ever. He's so patient with autograph seekers and always writes.......'Thanks for asking' .... atop his signature. A class act all the way!!
