Dan Gurney Tribute

It's been 50 years since a Dan Gurney Eagle won the Indy 500. It wasn't Dan himself but rather Bobby Unser using an Eagle chassis. I had an all white autograph car that I bought and thought it would be cool to do some sort of tribute. At first I thought I would do a retro Bobby Unser car but I was never a Bobby Unser fan so the motivation just wasn't there. I have always been a Dan Gurney fan and with his recent passing, it had to be a Dan Gurney car. So, I choose to do Dan's car from 50 years ago and ordered two sets from Michael. Michael may have guessed what I was doing because he added Goodyear tire decals to the decal sheets I ordered. Thanks Michael!

Anyway, here it is. My Dan Gurney 1968/2018 Tribute.

Last week, I was thinking that someone needed a retro AAR styled car and then a few days later this shows up here.

Foyt did this a few years back with Tags or someone, right? This is so much better looking though. Glad you had the same great idea Stu LOL you really executed it very, very well. This one coming to Indy with you?

I was thinking of bringing it to Indy Jordan but part of the reason for building it was to help finance my trip. My wife and I are building a new house so I was trying to scrap up any extra cash I could. I put it on EBAY and it sold in less than a half hour so sadly you won't see it in person.
