Here are the parts for this kit. Most of what I need is here- some exhaust bits needed, lots of tweaking and fitting of resin parts, nothing out of the ordinary. I will enjoy this build. NOTICE: Summertime usually involves outdoor jobs for Herself, traveling, hosting company, etc. so posts will be slow. But I will update as possible.

I glued intake pipes to plenums (pleni?) and placed in line to be sure they have similar orientation. Added back panel behind the seat. Traced inside the cowling and added small blocks to position it on the main body.

Nice job. It has been a while since we've seen the 77 being built. Looking forward to it!

Back at it after surprise company and stuff. I have attempted several ideas for the intake manifolds and finally figured out a plan. The problem was getting engine, manifold logs and body all on the same page and then attaching individual intake pipes. Here’s my solution. First glue engine into main tub with tires mounted to get correct spacing. I placed firmly the engine cover. I tied the logs together to fit into the body work and clipped that into place. Now I can add the pipes. I used solder- easy to shape and trim. And here we are so far

I like what your doing with this! I am rather a simpleton sometimes and have to ask: Are the intake runners (tubes) a little to big or fat for the scale? I am not saying they are, it may be my perspective.
Definitely one of my favorite indy rides of the last 50 years, Keep up the great work!

The tubes may be large- I didn’t deliberately make them oversize, but don’t mind the look. The intakes are a part of the, to me, iconic look of this car and if a tad exaggerated, emphasize the point. I find that I may tend more toward artistic license than absolute accuracy, although I try not to wander too far from reality. Thoughtful feedback like yours, drums01, help me. Thank you

Trying to get all the intake and exhaust parts positioned. I just stuck a representation of the exhaust bundle into the block. Individual pipes are not visible anyway. I angled the exhaust according to photos I’ve seen. I made a connector for the intake logs. I extended the cover to fill in to the connector. I will add the pipe from connector to turbo and a small piece from turbine to exhaust.

I added the other half of the 2 into 1 exhaust arrangement. I replaced the provided wing with a modified one from parts.

The Coyote is coming along really nice. Interesting to learn about Bill Riley's involvement in the Foyt car, not sure I knew that....
A great build and knowledge, I always appreciate that combo!

And a huge thank you to Tim (always indy) for his generous provision of this Jorgensen kit and to Michael for the perfect markings.

Man Dan...this is noting short of OUTSTANDING. Both cars are great but the Foyt car is just waaaay cool. Great job on both of these fine cars...

Dan: This is why you got the kit...I would never have built it and it came out beautifully! The Johncock car is also extremely well done...I have a love/hate relationship with ‘69,’70,’71 and ‘77 Indy winners...the big ole engine hanging out and sketchy aero parts...and you are right; these monsters were hand built, one-of-a-kind creations... Love the build! Tim

What an super impressive build. You sure did the model justice. And as a pair, it's just that much more impressive. Joel

The Coyote turned out great and I think the color looks right, too. I appreciate the WIP so we could see all of the nice work you did on that For...yt engine. The Wildcat is a nice comparison and I love the wild aero concept cars like this one.
