I'm heading out tomorrow night. I expect to be at the show on Saturday only between 10am and 2pm (possibly later) BTW... I don't look quite so much like my avatar anymore - got my hair cut and the person doing the cutting thought 3" = 3/4".

Which Fairgrounds is the show being held at? An address would be helpful.

Also it looks like I might have a couple extra seats at my table for breakfast at Brickyard Crossings Saturday at 8am. If you're going to be in the area, drop me a line - I'll be checking messages between now and then.

Hey guys! Just thought I'd pass along who I met at the show. First, let me say that all the guys I met were very cool. I met Michael from Indycals and he doesn't look too much different from the drawing in his avatar. jk Mike. Also present at Mike's table was Bill Jorgenson. We talked about the St Louis Cardinals and Blues (we're both fans of those teams) as much as we talked about models and his kits. Honestly after reading about how long he has been selling his kits, I expected Bill to be around 60. Instead I find out we're the same age. Lastly, I met a guy whose builds I greatly admire, Macsparty. We had a nice talk about models and he even gave me a couple of great tips. Now that I have faces to put with the screennames, this forum is suddenly a lot cooler. I wish I could have met more of you and if you were there this afternoon, please describe yourself so I can feel dumber for not introducing myself. The one guy I wanted to meet was Jordan. He might have been there and I wouldn't have even known. Anyway, thanks to Mike, Bill and Scott. Meeting you guys made my whole weekend.

Thanks Greg, likewise, it was great meeting you, MacSparty, Racerbrown and Harvey the Dog, some of you whom I've known for quite awhile but had never met. The people I meet is my favorite thing about the memorabilia show.... and thanks again Duane for the ride to the show - glad you and Belinda made it for breakfast!

It was great to meet all you guys, too. It really is nice to put faces to names. It was my first time at the show, and I enjoyed it. Every lap around the tables I'd spot something I missed. Fortunately I got out without spending too much, but I did pick up a nice small collection of photos.
We ended up having a good Saturday night, too, camping out in the back of my truck. And we enjoyed the race. Can't wait to get back again.

Michael - great decals as always (the Stuebaker Novi are great replacements) Lance - thanks for the goodies - hope the plans help you out - I've got some photos I'll scan and send. Bill - thanks for the nuts and spinach - and the cars of course!

Hey Guys, Yes, it was great putting faces with all the user names. Racer Brown, LazierFan, Michael at Indycals. Great time! Only wish I would have had more money at the show. Next year!!!

Darn near empty. I bought old Indy 500 race programs. Got good deals on some, probably overpaid a bit for a few others. I also got a nice small poster size photo of Mario's 1987 Hanna Lola, the pole winning car. Of course it wasn't just the material things that I picked up that made the ride worthwhile. As I said earlier, meeting the guys was just great. Oh yeah, I almost forgot about Bill's almonds and spinach. He was pushing those things harder than his kits.
