Danny Sullivan 1993 Indy 500 Ride

Continuing my run with completing a model and I have done the final bits to the Danny Sullivan Molson car from the Indianapolis 500 of 1993. Paint was Tamiya TS44 Bright Blue which is a great colour , and the decals are the excellent work of Michael from Indycals. The model is basically OOB except for the inclusion of flocking the seat and then adding belts, these ones are made from Leucoplast painted blue (TS15) and the PE hardware. Wheels are Alclad Chrome. The thing I like about seeing the two together is that the Galles team ran the road course side pods at Indy, so seeing the Mansell car next to it highlights the differences between the two cars from the same race.

Anyone not bored by my posts will know I have a fair sized collection of Danny's rides mostly at 1/43.

Looked at this and thought a 1/20th wouldn't really fit the collection.

My only 20th is his Tyrrell 010. A summer of chasing F1 round Europe.

But looking at this beauty I am thinking what the hell!

I always loved the look of the two Galles 1993 Lolas. This was always one of my favorite builds. I like similar builds with the subtle variations where they are not all the same.

Jordan I have one left which is the high downforce version, and it has a blue and white livery, and the driver was Mr RG....😉
