I hope you do not mind me starting a WIP thread...
I have never built a model, and I am sure I am going to need a bit of guidance along the way. I am not going to bore everyone with every step... just updates once in a while... and maybe a question from time to time.

WIPs are never boring, I really enjoy them. Thanks for sharing.

The more you post, the more we can talk about it. It might save you some trouble.... (just a thought)

I started today. I cleaned the interior driver's tub and test fit that, and I also cleaned the body. I drilled out (more deeply) all the rivets, and scribed the panel lines a bit more deeply. I tried to thin some of the interior areas as well, so that they would appear a bit more in scale. I also added the side fuel tank. Rob

Sigh...
Came home from running an errand to find that the cat had knocked this to the floor, and my son had STEPPED on it.
I've inquired to see if I can purchase a replacement body... or, I may just have to buy another whole kit.
On to the next until one of the above occurs...

Man, I am sorry to hear that! I didn't even get to see the picture.......
I have done a whole lot of repairs with CYA glue to a whole lot of resin parts. Some that didn't look like they would go back together. I use Zap, or the house brand from the hobby shop, and kicker. Maybe it will work if you have all the pieces.
Best of luck in any case! Mongo

White metal here, Bill. Once it's bent, it usually cracks when straightened. I'm afraid it's a case of replacing it, unfortunately. Sorry, robm, tough luck. I have four cats myself (no rugrats, tho!) and they are NOT allowed in the "model room", ever!

Thanks, Brian. I have only had one 1/43rd kit, a Starter, and with everything else going on, I haven't looked into any others..... ;D
I sure hope a replacement body can be found!

Vendor says they should be able to get one. No idea of cost yet. If all else fails I will just buy another kit (this one has the wrong windscreen in it too... vendor says he can get correct one). So, I will just call this one postponed.
