For those of you not on Facebook or not connected to the AAR Fan Group, here is a very interesting bit of news. Justin Gurney has announced that as a tribute to his dad, AAR has dusted off the chassis of the never completed 1968 Eagle F1 car, and they are going to complete the car. Going to be a lot of fun to follow along. www.facebook.com/groups/112213797311/permalink/10155133725277312/Paul Erlendson

Back in the mid-90s as AAR was preparing to launch the Toyota CART project, I had a chance to spend some time at AAR working on a writing project (ultimately shelved). As part of the research, I was thrilled to go through several files that included photo contact sheets. One set showed variations on the Trans-Am 'Cuda rainbow stripe paint scheme, but another had images of the scale model mock-ups of this car. I wonder how soon Patrick will start work modifying an MPC Olsonite Eagle to make this? Oh, Patrick! Rex
