Just a heads up for all of you. Scale Motorsport is shutting down very soon. As many of you know, the business has been for sale for a while now and there have been a few people interested but nothing solid. I spoke with Matthew and unless something comes in he will be shutting down the business and not restocking.
So that means that if there is something that you have wanted for a while, but didn't get, now is the time. He said remaining stock(and most things are in stock) is first come first serve. I sent in my order to cover my current models because I believe that over time if I want something I will have to pay stupid prices on eBay. This is probably the last order as I am 68 and pretty much have myself covered for my retirement.
I wish Matthew the best and the good thing is that he is a good friend and I expect to see him around. Just sorry to see the business go.

I just saw Matthew at the Philly NNL on Saturday and purchased some PE parts at discounted show prices. I've been buying from him for almost 20 years now and heard the same about him having the business for sale. He will be missed by many of us builders as our main source of CF decals, PE parts and other great items. It will be weird not seeing SMS at the various shows as a vendor in the future.
I feel the same way as petej and only wish Matthew the best. I believe that he will be at the NNL east next month.
BTW- the first Philly NNL was well attended with some 600 models on the table. Having a model car show at Simeone Automotive Museum was a great venue.

I've read on another site that it's a done-deal. Scale Motorsport is closed. Any updates?

The website still appears to be up and running Hmm. When I look I get an offer to buy the domain name (for like 10K!) Not a good sign. There is a lesson here: I've wanted to buy several of his items (like the Cobra Coupe) but now it's too late. Perhaps if me and the other procrastinators had made more purchases, they might still be around. :-( MJ

I work if front of a computer all day, you’d think I’d have at least a modicum of computing skills. Notice I’ve been here for years and never posted a picture. Sad. So, THE WEBSITE IS STILL UP! scalemotorsport.com But the lesson is still valid despite my dweebishness. I ordered that Cobra tonight. MJ
