Keep it in the ol' collection and someday down the road when there is extra $$$ in the bank account (or a great eBay deal) then you might want to finish it.
As is, it is still a nice build - I say display it proudly ;D

I like it. This way you get to see the true lines of the car. I don't know what the "decal issues" are but I think its a great looking car. Perhaps (just a thought), you could add a small Lotus logo on the nose.

Thanks Russ. The issue was that the decals wouldn't adhere at the edges. They would curl over on themselves. Solvent didn't help either but actually made things worse. Luckily I started on the front wing so it wasn't a huge setback though I did have to reprime and paint those parts. The Studio 27 set is over 20 bucks plus shipping so I went with plan B on this one.

Weird! I've never had a problem like that. The only thing I can think of is that there might have been something on the the surface of the piece that was not allowing the decal to bond with the plastic/paint. Were these the decals that came in the kit? If you are using the kit decals and need a replacement sheet, F1 Specialties sells Tamiya kit decals ($12.00 for the 107B).

Yes, they were the original kit decals. All the parts were nice, clean, and shiny. I agree that it's a weird thing to have happen.

The build looks very clean and neat as always. Maybe some decals will come through at a later date! I still enjoy seeing your builds.

Gorgeous build, regardless! Just a suggestion on the decals, when I run into that problem (I'm thinking of some old Heller decals right now) I use Micro-Scale Decal Film as a combinations setting solution and adhesive around the edges. Try it! The only problem is it seems to eat into metallic finishes, on regular gloss paint I've never had a problem.

Nice work Greg, love the white as it shows of the lines that this car had so well. Cars had character about them back in the 90's...Love it.

I think it looks great in white! While the Lotus wasn't a fast car, it sure looked like a proper F1 car and this is a fine build.

Get a bunch of CF decals and LOTS of Micro Sol, and make it a pre-season test car...

It looks great in white. Me thinks perhaps only a Lotus decal to offset the white!

Really nicely done. I remember seeing Herbert and Zannardi in these beautiful cars at silverstone in the pouring rain on the friday test session for the British Grand Prix. I'm sure i took photo's ..... must find them! Much as i liked the livery of the real car, i think your model - and especially veiwed from the angle of your second photo , really illustrate the wonderfully pure shape of this car.
