One of my best remembered races was at the Syracuse mile, watching Big Al and Mario race the Viceroy cars basically side by side for nearly 100 laps until Mario ran low on fuel, handing the win to Unser. Awesome cars and I can't wait for the models!

Talked to Gary last week. He said that the 1951 winner has been keeping him busy but he was working on the PE grill for the Foyt dirt car. Other than the grill and the headers, he said the Foyt car was pretty much ready to go.. The Unser/Andretti car will follow. Gary said the Unser/Andretti body was ready to go except for the PE grill. He has started working on the Johnny Lightning decals with GWS.

Gary has had some health problems and was recently in the hospital. The latest update I received was that the Foyt car should go into rubber this week. This is the last photo Gary sent me and it was quite a while ago. I think I already posted it in another thread. Its the Foyt car. Gary told me he changed the front of the car (from the cockpit forward) from what I sent him. A photo of the the Unser/Andretti car was included in previous posts in this thread. It is my understanding that he plans to use the Unser/Andretti body I sent him without any changes.  kip |

It may be a little of both but I have not seen how he changed the body I sent him. The Unser/Andretti body should be issued unchanged.
