Here is the trailer for the Race team. I started it a while back and just now getting to the wip side of it. I started with the 1/24th trailer from the Revell Modified w/ Trailer kit. I got the trailer w/out the modified at a show a few yrs back. I wanted a tandem for this build and this fit the bill. I did have to narrow it 5" and also took 24" off the front. Before... What I took out.. I wanted to add cargo boxes above the fenders and have a box on the front also. The tire rack will be above the front box.. The fender boxes and front platform.. Here it's in mock up with the wheels and all the doors added along with a look with the car(for measurements).. Front box fabbed with the tire rack and the tires(in mock up).. That's where it's at today. I did get the upright bars for the center bar for the tires fabbed today and when that's dry..(over night) It will go into the paint shop for paint....

Very, very nice conversion. Did you have good research or prior racing experience to get this trailer to look this good?

Very, very nice conversion. Did you have good research or prior racing experience to get this trailer to look this good? Thanks for the compliment Drums01. I use both...on line pics for different ideas and the past experiences also helps out a bunch. All though all the teams I was involved with did not have these type of trailers( referring to the cargo boxes). Most did have tire racks though. This trailer is going with the Truck and Sprintcar that I just finished. It represents a team in the late 60s early 70s that's running the West coast regional circuit. Here's a pic of a team that's from Sacramento that inspired me to do my trailer in the manner it's built....

That explains everything; still very, very good work. I like this a lot!
I'm eager to see the finished product.
