I know specifically that in 1958 Ferrari had the wheels on their 250 TR’s painted. On one side of the car they were green. The other side blue. I don’t know how long Ferrari used this practice, but since you’re asking about the F500, they did it for awhile.

Yes, it's a light metallic blue seen on many Borannis. Bloody difficult to see in B&W photos.

Yes, it's a light metallic blue seen on many Borannis. Bloody difficult to see in B&W photos. Patrick Gobsmacked in Hooterville! Always thought they were silver paint but now that it's been brought up I can see it. I'll stick a note in my 1/20 kit for future reference.
