Tamiya now sells their lacquer in bottle form. It's only available in Asia now. I bought some on ebay, received the first today. I haven't used it yet, but it smells just like the spray can stuff, I believe it is the same. Tamiya lacquer is the stinkiest paint I know of. I was never too keen on de-canting it, now I don't need to.

I'm looking forward to using those paints. I've used Tamiya acrylics extensively, but I have an aversion to using and/or decanting spray cans.

I just TRIED using their florescent orange rattle paint for my Eagle build. After using the whole can, (only 100 mL), I couldn't even tell there was any paint on the body. The only way I knew actual pigment was in the can was the plate I was using was kindasortamaybe orange. Terrible stuff. I will never use it again. Not only a waste of money but also a waste of time as I had to strip the crap off the parts and start over. Total crap.

I just started using Mr. Hobby fluorescents - just did a 67 turbine in their fluorescent red and it looks good. Also have some projects coming up using their fluorescent yellow, green and pink.

Didn't like the Tamiya ts-16. Yellow. Very thin. I have been under the weather lately and i have managed to do absolutely nothing with the '18 Helio. Haven't lost intrest, but its hard to want to work on the car when your really not feeling well. It will pass, but yeah, Tamiya paint has its challenges. Its very thin. It has made me rethink how to paint it. My style isnt so compatible with it. I'll get it.

Does Tamiya have any plans to bring them into the USA/North American market?
