Some good open wheel news! Tamiya has announced the upcoming release of a 1/20th scale 2017 Ferrari SF70H. Looks like a curb side, which is fine by me as there is no way to detail any modern F1 power unit. It also looks to keep the cost down and I hope they add a little more detail in other areas of the kit. 4000 Yen, which is $38.19 today. hlj.com/product/TAM20068Paul Erlendson

That's good news, since it's been long time from the last Tamiya 1/20 scale F-1 new release which I believe was the RB 6. The price isn't bad and a lot less then what I paid for their RB 6 several years ago. That kit just had plastic cover for an engine.
Now to the bad news, The grid girls in F 1 are gone for 2018. I believe the last part of the F-1 quote was "We feel this custom does not resonate with our brand values and clearly is at odds with modern day societal norms"

Looks like they are giving us a nice shell and going to leave it to the aftermarket to cater to those wanting an engine, more detail, etc.
Nice to see it being done by Tamiya.

No engine but it does have carbon fiber decals. No grids but grid kids
