Good Evening Guys,
I’m working on Gary’s 1950 winner and have a question regarding the seat. What color would you guys recommend using to get the proper shade of leather? I’m coming up empty on this one.
Thank you for your help!
Jerry

Jerry, I have used Testor's Flat Tan and then rubbed the surface after the paint dries to give it a little sheen. Jim

I would go with Testors military brown 1701 or brown leather 1736 (a little darker), or what ever you think matches best.

Jerry, Jim has it just right. I try to make the shiny area on the seat bottom butt and thigh shaped with the back in the center. A little oil/moisture from the forehead works great here. Sometimes I spray a little darker around the edges or lighter in the wear areas first. Use flat for that.
