I've been asked many times over the years to do this car... I've always said. "I'll do it, when I can do it right." Due to the fade on the nose, the ALPS was not up to the task to do this car to my level of satisfaction. The OKI is. BTW... this car used to be this car:

Cool! Such a great looking car. Never a big fan of Sullivan (though he was nice to my little girl, who had a major crush on him, when we met him at Long Beach). I mean, he kept Mario from winning another 500. But I'll have to do this. At least I already have Michael's Chevy conversion.
Now, anybody need a set of Fabi decals? :-)

Beautiful! The fade is very cool. I love seeing these. No one else can do this stuff but this board has the talent to acheive. Very nice Michael. You hit it out of the park again.

Great news indeed! Danny won the 1993 race in Detroit. Little Al got penalized (running 2nd at the time to Danny in 1st) for running over the cones on the backside of the course. I was the one that put those cones there at the direction of Wally Dallenbach, they were held in place by a nail gun. I remember thinking "I hope he doesn't get a puncture!" Danny won the race holding off Robby Gordon, who did puncture in the last lap. Great race, great memories. Great decals, thanks for making them available.

One funny anecdote from doing these decals. I figured finding a good reference for the main sponsor shouldn't be a problem... and for the most part I was correct.. except for one minor issue - in 1993 they used a logo for their name that - best I can tell - they NEVER used before or since! They used it ONE year and finding references for it is nearly impossible. The normal logo has rounded letters with no drop shadow. This particular one is a serif style with gold drop shadows.

Also, one important note for those who really want to get this car right... the Galles cars used the ROAD COURSE side pods at Indy

Beauty! Can't believe they used the light colored sponsor decals on the nose where the light fade is, it was barely visible.

I have to ask any tips on what would be a good match for the blue? Tamiya TS44 Brilliant blue or TS93 Pure Blue would work well. My build is TS44.
