Here’s a build I finished today, the Corvette C7R Jan Magnussen, Antonio Garcia, and Ryan Briscoe contested the 2015 24 Hours of LeMans. This car has strong AOW connections with Magnussen and Briscoe driving for Penske in CART/IRL. The Corvette team won the GTE Pro Class in 2015, but alas, it wasn’t this car. Magnussen crashed after a piece of debris stuck inside the pedal box, causing a skid-inducing throttle malfunction. Magnussen escaped the crash unscathed, but the shunt turned the car into a complete write-off. Why build this car instead of the winner, you ask? I like all three guys who drove this car! This was just a bump in the road on the way to the championship. This is the Revell kit, with upgrade parts and decals from Scale Motorsport, Gravity Colors Corvette Yellow, and Tamiya black. I painted the windshield and headlights Tamiya smoke gray, it may be a touch dark, but I’m happy with my first go at using it. All-in-all it’s a fun kit to build and it turned out great. The only thing I wish I could go back to correct would be lowering the ride height a touch in the front, but otherwise I’m happy with the final result. Thanks for looking!

Gorgeous model! Thanks for the new photos. I've heard horror stories about fit issues with this kit, but you're not reporting any. Were there any fit issues that you noticed?

She's pretty, Jerry. You did nice work on it and there are several details that jump out on your build that I had never noticed previously.
The Corvette Museum is proud of this GT program and I spent some time there in the Corvette Racing area when I visited there myself.

Thank you for the kind words on the build, I try to get as much of the little stuff as possible on these builds. I love the little details!
As far as the kit, it fit well with the exception of the headlights, I had to trim off the portion of the part that went through the locating pin to get it to fit. Aside from that, I didn’t have fit issues with this kit.
