This is a Jimmy Flintstone creation resin body I bought off of Evilbay. I 'm using my spare "T" chassis and equipment. As you will tell I need two outside wire wheels to get it "on its feet"...anyone have two of them?? I changed the rear end with a newer unit and slightly modified the engine just for looks. The hood won't come off so it's just a space filler. The floorboard was cut from sheet plastic... I added a pair of trailing links for the front suspension. They will be painted black. That's it for now. Patrick

Would this have been a board track racer? With the high center of gravity and primitive suspension I'm thinking it probably handled about as well as a riding lawnmower. Interesting project.

Regardless of its ride height there were many entry level racing machines available. The Model T was the perfect tool for the job. Cars like these ran at many East Coast dirt tracks and perhaps board track racers, too! This spurt of usage didn't last long it seems.

Well, 8 hours later... I'm in pursuit of those "T" wire wheels and a bit more tidying up. Now to the Honda. Patrick

Can you share the dimensions of the tires you need? I have some in my spares box but need to know what I am looking for. Good luck! Jim

Wha-hoo! It's finished thanks to Jim of this group!! I got the rear wheels and the spokes were a bit heavier than the fronts, but look great as beefed up rear wheels... I adorned the radiator with another fun winged thing... and the trio looks well together... the old cars look so alien next to the Brabham BT55! Patrick

Like all your kitbashing, it looks like it was always made to come together like that. Great looking piece!

Recently found an an old copy of the Model T owners's magazine, and one of the articles was on the meeting of the Model T race car owners club. An imagination-sparking article, and you ride in with a Model T racer! Providence? Very nice! There have got to be more on the way? By the way, that "moto-meter" radiator cap was an essential instrument in the day. Build on! --Frank

I'd like to get to building the Thomas "Flyer", but that's a "semi-closed wheeled" car!
