I'm in the process of building the new Eagle Terry Kunzman just released, the end project hopefully being the car Swede Savage raced in the 1973 Indianapolis 500. I've finished the engine and suspension, and the body's about to be ready for paint. The wheels and tires are finished, here's the end result. The wheels are painted with a Molotow chrome stick and look shinier in person. The tires are painted tamiya rubber black, with Michael's "Goodyear" tire decals. I did something different to the tires, the lettering isn't a pure white on the real ones, so I dry brushed Testors flat rubber to get rhe effect shown in the below photo. Not to brag, but I think they look pretty realistic! So far, so good.

I think it looks good too! The white lettering is never truly "white"....it's always a bit dirty. You got that right on yours....it's way more believable they way you have them...
Also thinned out Tamiya Acrylic Smoke works great in De-whiting tire logos

Molotow over black? Over plain primer? Great start! When the tires look that good, you're not bragging to say so... --Frank

I actually just used the Molotow straight over the bare resin. It's a paint pen and I applied it as if I were coloring with a marker.
Thank you for the kind words!
