Nice. I actually had this kit out the other day and was studying it, and two things got me wondering off the bat as far as gathering parts: mirrors and rear wing. I figure I can scavange the mirrors from an old McLaren. Is that where you got the wing, too?

Yes the mirrors are from a Mclaren and I made the rear wing from scratch, with the help of the penske pc6 wing, I just took a sheet of plastic on top to round it and sanded down the bottom to give the correct roundness. I should of took a picture.... so now I cant Prove it (rookie mistake)

VERY nice work. Is this the car at Chicago's Sci-Tech Museum? If so your model is much better than the real thing...it looks sad.

Something else I just noticed to ask about, how did you do the screens on the radiator covers?

Simple, I used fine Wire mesh that you can get off of most model detail online stores, I forgot what type this one is? But all you have to do is cut it out and use that famous black Sharpie and super glue it on there, just took me 5mins to do... I also have a question my self, Does anyone know the best way of applying the clear wind screen? As you can see I had my share of trouble (like always on clear parts) I used hardly any super glue but once it hardened it spread and gave a bad crusty look in some spots.

Got this from Lance Seller's website...just go to www.lsresincars.com and click on "garage area" for more useful tools with pictures... "This is Hypo watch crystal cement, useful for gluing on windscreens. Available from Micro Mark"

I have a tube of watch-makers glue that I got from Micro-Mark. It doesn't craze the plastic like other adhesives Tom T.
