I didn't want to hijack Calvins thread and his awesome work. I've been working on a conversion for the 1/24 scale Auto-world cars. Here's where I'm at so far but obviously a long way to go.  |

Still working on it. I'm going to make molds of these parts for the Autoworld cars. The Autoworld website have some of their 1/24 for only $20.  |

Well still working on this one. Created , molded, and casted a few bodies and parts to make the Rossi’s and Sato’s cars so I didn’t have to scratchbuild completely twice. By far, the most I’ve ever scratchbuilt. I’m using a 1/18 green light car to reference all my dimensions. If you have an Autoworld 1/24 diecast, you can compare what I’ve done. I wanted to offer it as a conversion, however my casting skills are good enough for me but not to sell. Plus our damn black lab puppy got a hold of half the body mold. I was able to at least cast a good body for Sato’s car. That will be it for this post. Next ones will be of completed cars. Thanks, Mike  |

Mike, kudos on making the car you want from the car you get. Sad to hear about what happened to the mold but at least happy you got what you needed cast from it before then.
Looking forward to your final results. Keep up the great work!
