Okay, so we all know we will want the '09 Indy 500 winner. That said, if Michael @ IndyCals offers the '09 Verizon car decals that I will be in for a few sets ;D I like the black and the red option tires work well with the scheme, too www.motorsport.com/photos/select.asp?Y=2009&E=Long_Beach&D=Will_Power&S=INDYCARAnyone else a little surprised WP wasn't in a red and white schemed car? It's only like the 4th time that I can recall Penske had a non-red&white car in the last 20 years: - '09 Verizon, Will Power (I wonder how long he'll run this scheme) - '01 Penske, Gil & Helio - IRL Phoenix (one race Indy warmup) - '92 Mobil, PT (part-time third car) - '90 Pennzoil, Mears (last full-time cars not red&white) Jordan

RE: WP decals ---- If we can talk Mike into doing this car, I'll be in for a copy.
RE: Penske Paint Scheme --- I wonder if Verizon was worried about putting their logo over a M@r1b0r0 paint scheme. The car looks good this way.
RE: Race coverage -- I was watching this race and the Speed Channel re-cast of the China F1 race at the same time. The F1 race had a zillion run-offs due to the rain. The IRL race wasn't too exciting to watch. It looks like the Long Beach track is a little too narrow with only 2 good passing locations.

Just thinking that we might wait until the Indy 500 version is revealed. I'm guessing it might change quite a lot before then.

Even though I'm not a big fan of Will Power, black indy cars are always appealing. I always liked Foyt's black Lola's and Danny Ongais' cars through the seventies and eighties. Any others I missed?

I don't think this was a general decal request thread. We can start one elsewhere if need be.

Sorry, if I got off the beaten path with bringing up the question of black cars. I was just commenting on the fact that black cars at indy always seem to be neat cars, no matter who would be driving them. Add to that I would be interested in purchasing any decals for black Indy cars including the Verizon car, so count me in!

I always thought a version of Greg Ray's Ash Kicker car would be a neat subject, I think he left all of the $100 bills taped to it during qualifying...don't recall if they were still on there during the race.
