I built this model a few years ago from the Special Hobby kit The real aircraft was one of the few monoplane fighters to see frontline service in WWI. They entered service in early 1918 and were all withdrawn by mid May of the same year due to structural problems. After the structural problems were corrected they were used as trainers well into the 1920s and one was used to set a world record for performing 900+ consecutive loops. The Special Hobby kit id the average awful with teeth grinding fit issues, most of the parts suffering from mold shift, and numerous detail inaccuracies. I replaced or modified nearly every piece of the kit.
