That will be interesting, after all, he will have a better chance of winning Indy, than any F1 race this year.

I saw in on IndyCar's Instagram page and I (like others there) thought it was possibly a joke. Verified it on Autosport and came here (earlier) to find Michael P already posted it an hour earlier. This is exciting. I am looking forward to going to Indy this year, it would be the first time at back to back 500s for me! So that's 6 Andretti cars, right? Should be a popular decal sheet to help pay for a new printer....  Jordan |

I talked to Steve Turner this morning who is in Texas for an Indycar test with Team Rahal. He hadn't heard the news yet and called BS on me. A few minutes later he was on the shuttle bus to the track with some team members from Andretti Autosport and they confirmed it as fact.

When I saw this on Speedsport this morning, my first though literally was "Is this April 1??"
This is very exciting. Alonso is one of the 2 or 3 best in F1, IMO. Maybe this is a bone thrown by Honda to keep Fernando happy and in the Honda fold.

So whilst this is all exiting stuff I wonder if the boys from ebbro will be ready to put out yet another particular 1/20 McLaren Honda?
From there the possibilities are endless.......

Seen videos today of Alonso, Zak Brown, and Mark Miles - as surreal as it is, it is hard to deny the reports. Fred could back out still after testing the car at IMS but hopefully that will not happen

Bernie is gone not even a year and great things are already happening. Looking forward to what his reaction will be to the Indy 500. It is about time some interest is raising from Formula 1. Now if we can just get them not to schedule a race on the same day.

Great news, as an Alonso-fan, would like to see him at least compete for some good positions! At least for one race, last few years have been frustrating for him,as well as for me. (but he has 30million reasons to be more satisfied)
