Think I finally got the hang of this picture thing but Photobucket is so sloowwwww. Did this over this weekend. Yup. More to do with Monsieur Tambay. No diorama section that I could see but maybe just being lazy. Its late! Figs are 1/48 Airforce ground crew kit stuff but fit the scale fine. Car is a mash of diecast and kit. Might add some more officials at the start line but it does tell of the moment as it is. The track should be wider but I detailed it as best I could. White decals on textured art board. Did it all to fit in a well known Scandanavian Furniture store's picture boxes.

Very nice. Try Imgur, I like it much better than Photobucket.

Very emotional moment to capture. This is done very well.
No diorama section here but maybe one day if there is enough demand/builders/etc

Just threw it together on a weekend! Looks great! Doing a picture box does sound like a great Ikea! --Frank

We all run out of shelf space too soon. So I took to this..... Not ideal for 1/43 stuff with high airboxes but solved a problem. Now I am running out of wall space.........

Thanks.
The Ferrari display was originally meant to be a Villeneuve collection and spreads over two frames. But when I realised I could not find all his Atlantic Marches or the Chevron from his South African jaunt, I did it as an all Ferrari 27 thing from '77 to '88 so it covers Tambay and Alboreto too. The T5 with the forward mounted wing will go once someone (and I spoke to Brumm about this) does the car Villeneuve won the 1979 Race of Champions in at Brands Hatch in 1979. An odd T3/T4 mash which might make a decent model. Everyone only seems to recall his GP wins. Going on I did find an Italian produced kit of his 1973 F Ford Magnum and I have heard that those Marches might come to be one day. Live in hope.....
Anyway. These frames. I don't work for that Scandanavian furniture mob or anything, but their picture boxes are decent enough and cheap. They now do a white picture box which would easily take a 1/25th to 1/18th scale job if anyone is brave enough to mount one of their kits in it and hang it vertically.......
One last thing is maybe replacing the glass with a non reflective Perspex which can be ordered cheaply online to size. Does make a difference seeing the subject matter rather than a refection of your staircase or opposite side of the room on a bright day.
